RADSHOT

I´m super proud to be finally part of the „RadShot“ project.

It is the Photoblog of Ed Blomfield, the Photoeditor from UK´s finest Whitelines Snowboard Magazine, where he features shots from the past season that didn´t make it into the printissue.
He updates the blog nearly every day with a new Bängershot from the best photodawgs from all over the world.

So to have a good white start for every day put it into your linklist, like it on Facebook and SPREAD THE WORD.

So here we go with my introduction shot:

Sorry for being a little lazy with updates in the last time, but it´s summer and EM time so there was nothing worth blogging.
But now there are news more than worthy for an update:

Since this week I´m official the new staff photographer for Head Snowboards and I´m more than stoked on this.
Because it means I get the opportunity for travelling and shooting the whole next season with a great team all over the world …. YEEEEHHAAAA!!

Thanks for this chance to Head and their Int´l Team Manager. I´m already looking foreward to great times with great people in great places.

For more information about the Head team and their great products take a look on their website.

LET´S GET IT ON.

Long Way Round Pt.2

A few weeks ago I told you about my trip with Nitro through half of europe. Now I can tell you a little bit more about it.
I started alone from Munich and met with Clemens (the Filmer), Ziga, Andrej and Wögna (the riders) at Verona in Italy to drive together to Vars in the french sea alps. After arriving there around midnight we met Aluan the next rider of our crew to hit his homeresort …. sadly there was nearly no snow left so we could only do one quick n dirty spot and decided then to leave for Barcelona the next morning.
After a day of driving, a night of partying and a day on the beach we took of for the last part of the mission in Andorra. There at last we found what we were looking for: a good base of snow, some good spots, a lot of sun and a bagload full of fun. After 3 days we hit the road for another 1500 kms back home.

The trip was an absolutly blast and big thanks are going out to Andi @ Nitro (for making it happen), my Crew (for being the best ones), Maria (for her tips about Andorra) and everyone else we met.

Here are a tiny bite from all my impressions on this trip:

I can´t tell ya how often I looked into this mirror in this 8 days and saw a beautiful picture

Hey we DID some snowboarding!!

Hopefully you´ll see some more pictures in some mags next year.
And Anorra I`ll be back!!!

Long Way Round

Springtime is Roadtriptime, and this one gets really long.
5 Guys, 2 Cars, 5 Countries, 3000km, 7days of shooting, from over 3000m to 0m and back …. for the Fiat PictureAwards I´ll head out together with 3 Nitro Roadwarriors and a filmer to get a nice picture set done.

I´ve 8 days of fun, sun, snow, street and some very big footprints (cause Lolli dominated this award last year) ahead of me …. SO LET´S GET IT ON!!!!

Our route ….

Arlberg Madness

Last week I´ve been three days at the good ol Arlberg in Austria together with DBK, Colin, Tobi and Maxi. The origin plan was to hit the Sonnenkopf and go for some massive spots, but when we arrived we noticed that there were already 8 Filmcrews getting ready to hit the mountain so we changed our plans and checked out a zone at the Flexenpass.

On Monday the guys did a little bad weather step down kicker which sadly didn´t really work for me shooting … on Thuesday we shaped another stepdown right next to the first and this one really, really worked out for me and I got some bängers of all three riders. On Wednesday we shaped another spot for about 5 hours with a real highway as inrun but on the first hit the boys realized that they hadn´t enough speed to clear the jump as we intended ….

So what should I say, Shit happens and there are days the work dosen´t get paid …. but one good day is more than enough and I had a great time with the boys in the sun.

Here are some (more than usual) impressions of it:

That would have been the place for a kicker … at least for me
