Börlin

The last days I was in Berlin for a wedding of two good friends. Sadly we had superbad weather all time (13° and heavy rain), so my planned phototours through the city where reduced to a few hours …. but the wedding was superfine (Go F*** Yourself Rain) and I had some nice days with people I haven`t seen for quite a time.

Here are some impressions from my small walk around and from the location where the wedding took place ….

Bloodmoon

A few days ago we had a total lunar eclipse over Munich, what means that when the moon is in the earth shadow it turns into a deep red due to the stray light reflected from earths atmosphere.
So I went out to a little hill right out of munich to get some nice shots with the moon and the cityscape.
Normally that this a marvellous phenomenon, but this year we first had to much clouds, then the moon was to small for a impressive look (where is the 500mm when you need one!?) and when it came to a nice position over the city the eclipse was over.

Whatever …. I had a nice warm summer evening with some beers and a nice view over munich, could have been worse.

Here are some shots I did at least:

Munich Highline Towers

BMW 4cylinder and Olympic Tower

The Windmill on the Wastehill

Blood Saturn ?

Hiding his Face

The dark side of the force

I´m truly dedicated in every way to the Canon EOS System since the start and there is no reason to be jealous on the Nikon guys …. except of one small thing, and that´s their Imagecampaign „I am a ….“"I am a Nikon“ cause it´s one of the best and most beautiful campaigns I´ve seen in my live. Alone the TV Add with Robbie Wiliams triggering a mayhem of little flashes from the audience at one of his concerts is magnificent.

Now Nikon took the next step in this campaign and went Web 2.0 with giving everyone the chance to make his very own part of this campaign … so what should I say then „I´m in“!!

Here are my little adds:

There is a little contest too, where you and me can win something …. if you want you can klick on your favorite and give it your vote. THANKS

Rainy Days

So after a completely fucked up winter for me (except the Ruka Trip in December), I called it a season and now I´m looking forward to the summer in munich (longboarding, beergardens, grillin at the flaucher, nice girls everywhere and hopefully a lot of sunny and hot days).

The last few weeks I´m trying to get a nice job for the summer (so if someone knows something that includes layouting or graphic design or photography or everything in or around munich …LET ME KNOW!!), so I´ve not that much to do at the moment.

The really nice people at Panasonic Europe hooked me up with a modell of the Lumix DMC GF-2 systemcamera with the 14-42 kitoptic (I would have prefered the 20mm prime) for some testing.

Panasonic Lumix DMC GF-2 with the 14-42mm/3.5-5.6

It´s a really nice cam that trys to combine the best of the worlds of DSLR´s and Pocketcams.
What should I say, she`s doing a good job at this: Small enough to put it into your jacket or a little bag, really lightweight, full touchscreen control and on the other side you get full manual mode shooting, changeable lenses, good ISO performance, a flash hotshoe (Skyports are also getting triggered), RAW files and Full HD Movie function.

I think it´s a super funny tool for having it with you everywhere, without loosing control and quality. But I think it should work best with the small 20mm/1.7 prime lens (is like a 40mm lens on a fullframe SLR).

Here are the first snaps from today:

I´ll post some more snaps from it the next weeks …. hopefully I get a chance to test it in the snow

Trip to BC

Today a good friend of mine and me did a little early in the morning trip to one of the most beautiful places in upper Bavaria (and the world) …. called „Boarisch Columbia“ cause it looks like British Columbia in Canada.
It´s such a magical and peaceful place …. so being there for sunrise and a few hours after it was like a little holiday for my mind …

Here are some impressions …
